Hello everyone! I just got hired at a non-profit museum which is quite small. It has GREAT potential and already has a ton of volunteers. It has been around for a few years so it's not new but the volunteer program is a mess. It is kind of a shadow, someone, for a few weeks then roam-free kind of thing. Can you all tell me about your experience with volunteer programs and structures? Was there anything, in particular, you felt worked or made you or others more likely to volunteer? what kind of hierarchy was there if any at all? Did you have a handbook? Literally tell me anything about either your volunteer experiences at non-profits, likes/dislikes, or if you are someone who manages a volunteer program at a non-profit tell me whatever you can! Feel free to DM me as well. Honestly, I would appreciate you all so much!
