I've been at the same legal services nonprofit for over 6 years, and after 4 years as the comms manager, due to some staffing changes, I was given a promotion and title change. I'm now the Director of Operations & Communications. In addition to being super clunky (and unusual I think, mostly either of those would be paired with a Development Director), I'm not sure it really describes the breadth of my responsibilities. My colleagues will often tell people that I handle anything in the non-legal sphere. Anyone have ideas for a title change? I think Managing Director would work, except I don't have the fiscal oversight responsibilities that I think usually go with this role. I've considered Deputy Director, but our last DD was an attorney (I am not) and had very different responsibilities from mine. Thank you!
