Questions on the ethics of a non profit I work for.

So I work for a company that provides multiple services to customers ranging from training, products, and physical services. They recently started a non profit whose job is to purchase and pay for those same services and provide them to government and local police organizations. If one’s non profit were to purchase these said services and products from their own for profit company, are there any red flags or legal problems?

The owner of said company when promoting through his for profit company says that “an organization” would be purchasing these items and services and donating them but continuously fails to be transparent about which organization. (His own)

Basically I’m worried about being involved with a crook and it just doesn’t seem like ethical business behavior. Or is this a type of thing that present itself often in this world?

I know this is generic and I can give more info. Thank you for the advice.
