I'm a program director in an agency that deals in eviction prevention, homelessness prevention, and tenant/landlord law (promoted to this role due to people leaving so I've made it work but don't feel especially qualified) and I am so burned out and, dare I say, traumatized by the past 1.5+ year of work.
I need to leave the nonprofit work in general, but I feel pigeon holed and not sure how to breakout. I have my MSW and a previous Master's in Politics, but that degree is over 10 years old so not sure if it's relevant.
How have folks translated their hodge-podge work of doing everything and bootstraps into a role outside of the non-profit sector? Besides State jobs, I'm not sure how else to escape.
