How do you inform your bookkeeper of transactions?

I do a lot of pro bono work implementing Quickbooks for nonprofits. If a smaller nonprofit has a bookkeeper, either paid or volunteer, they often have trouble getting the transaction details necessary to post them to the proper accounts, donors, or vendors. Does your organization have a process for getting this information to the bookkeeper in an organized fashion? .
