I’m possibly going to accept a newly created Development & Communications Manager role at a nonprofit that hasn’t had any staff growth in the last few years while I continue to job search for higher paying tech jobs.
I couldn’t find a job in my ideal industry, so I have to accept this one if I get an offer after the final interview.
It’s a small nonprofit with 11 other staff and has existed for two decades. They have no plans to add more team members to development, so I’d be the only one. The organization focuses on children’s academics and family mental health.
I’m wondering what I could expect in a recession while working at a nonprofit? Especially in development?
