Founder of nonprofit sexually assaulted an employee: how to respond?

I’m a nonprofit board member. The nonprofit was founded by one prominent guy who is an advocate for various disenfranchised groups. The nonprofit advocates for those groups; it focuses on community activism.

I was recently given a copy of court records that show that the founder sexually assaulted an employee several years ago. I don’t know who gave them to me or the full story; they were left hanging on my front door at home.

I plan to resign immediately and let the founder know that I am doing so because of the content of those court records.

Anything else I should do?

Thanks.
